I guess the clear blue sky helps.
Passing through Historic Morpeth, which was once a thriving port established in 1821.
A view of the bridge which is only 1 of the 3 remaining in NSW. Okay, a lesson in bridges.............
It is an overhead braced timber truss bridge built in 1898 and 281 metres in length.
Pretty magnificent.
Of course a smooth trip over it is not to be expected.
A quick dash over the plains, not a place to be when it rains as it is prone to deep flooding.
A second bridge at Hexham, not quite so spectacular as Morpeth but worthy of a mention.
The sun sets quickly here and a mad dash for home before it gets too dark.
Too late, plunged into darkness, only the light of the moon to get us safely home.
