Blackbutt Reserve

About twenty minutes down the road from us is Blackbutt Reserve, on 182ha it is a natural bushland oasis with something for everyone. So off we went to take a look and showing my fitness......not....I came up one of the trails, well actually I walked up and down a few, but this looks more impressive.

There are plenty of places to have a picnic or Barbie, some under cover so you can sit in the shade and enjoy your meal.
These guys were just lazing around, not bothered by anyone who went by.
Does everything sleep around here?

Something awake, and looking very handsome indeed.

On one of the walks we went on, these bananas were on the trail, too far up to grab one.

There was a lot of noise in the trees and as John looked up to see what it was he saw these bats.

We had a great day and wanted to let Isobel and Joseph see the Reserve when they next visit. For Joseph it was the very next day, Sharon and Isobel were having an afternoon out at a show so we had Joseph for a few hours so the girls could enjoy themselves.

No time to sit at a table to eat pudding, a lot to see and do. ``Keep it up, I am having a great time``

``Come back, I want to see how tall you are``

``Are you sure I cannot go play with the koala bears? I can climb over this fence if you give me a bit of a leg up.``
``So, not so brave now I am up close, no good pretending to be asleep``
Hopefully we will all be going back to the Reserve, still plenty of things to see and do.
