Mother Nature in the mornings

How I love Mother Nature, never the same and always interesting.
Can we ever be prepared for what she shows us each day and does it depend on her mood.
I wonder!

A very hot morning and look what we got.......a storm......we also got very wet. We were warned with big black clouds and the odd rumble or two but the threat of rain had been around for hours, a quick walk down the road and we should make it home in time before the heavens open...........
Mother Nature, such a sense of humour she possesses. She just could not wait and boy did it rain. And rain it did for ages, we tried to outrun it but failed. Hooray for waterproof skin.
On her gentler side she gives us a beautiful early morning mist in the vale, this is going to be a good day. The air is clear, the birds are singing away and the sun is just starting to warm up the flowers.
Do parrots go into the brightest flowers so they can colour clash.
Unlike this Kookaburra who just blends in.......waiting for some breakfast to fly by, or land beneath the tree unaware it is a tasty morsel.

I looked all over for fairies, pixies and elves but did not find one at all, guess they could have been hiding, waiting for me to pass by.

An early morning visitor at the front door.

A spider in our courtyard, hanging around to see if it has been lucky...........another long wait it seems.

Once again Mother Nature has given us some very delicate flowers to care for.........pretty pastels
with shiny green leaves.
She is all around us, we just need to take time to look and see what we can find.
Try it......you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for the pretty pics.
Have you noticed that nature puts together what we would consider clashing colours ...and they look fab? If we were to try wearing them together....there would be snickering behind us all day.
What do Kokoburras eat?
Love Jane

Kookaburras eat insects, small snakes, lizards frogs, rodents, fish, earthworms and crayfish, even small birds, Quite a culinary delight in the world of birds. In Aboriginal Legend it is said that the laughing call is a signal to the Sky Spirits to light the great fire, The sun, in the morning and put it out at night. Just love that idea. Linda xxxxx
